PLM/PDM Requirements Analyst (w/m)*

The PLM/PDM requirements analyst works with the PLM/PDM architect and other project stakeholders to collect, identify and prioritize the user, business and process requirements. The requirements analyst turns interviews and observations of the users into user stories.

Tasks and Accountability

  • Interview users
  • Interview management
  • Document user stories
  • Develop visual prototypes and wireframes
  • Develop the framework to prioritize the user stories
  • Lead the organization through the prioritizing effort
  • Determine the quality standards
  • Determine and set the customer delivery expectations
  • Test the software before delivery to the customer
  • Ensure the software meets the requirements
  • Conduct PLM/PDM readiness assessments and provide input to PLM/PDM project manager and PLM/PDM architect

Required Skills

  • Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Engineering or Information Technology
  • Listen effectively and communicate with a variety of people holding different organizational roles to identify operational and application requirements for a system's usual functions as well as error handling requirements
  • Possess technical knowledge of PLM/PDM
  • Possess business knowledge of product development process and workflows
  • Have the ability to review, develop and analyze user surveys and other process data
  • Document requirements with tools such as flowcharts and Unified Modeling Language notation, which analysts use to create a graphic model of the application being developed, just as builders use blueprints to illustrate a home design

Required Experience

  • Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Engineering or Information Technology
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a business analyst
  • Minimum 1 years experience as a business or process analyst for a dedicated PLM/PDM system
